COOPERATION WITH REAL ESTATE AGENTS 

   As a one-time working broker myself, I have long worked co-operatively with real estate agents. I know all too well how unhelpful friction between a lawyer and an agent can be in a transaction! You can rest assured that any client you might refer to me will be competently represented and that I take a problem-solving, not a deal-breaking, point of view toward any troublesome issues that might arise in the course of the transaction.

   I'd also like you to know that I'm always available to answer questions about any aspect of your legal duties. If the question can be handled by e-mail, it's on the house - so please don't hesitate to contact me. Understand, however, that I can't answer questions about a specific situation that way. But when it comes to general questions - fire away!

   You will find that my blog addresses issues of concern to people in the real estate business so I hope you will make a practice of checking it out periodically. You don't need me to tell you that these are very troubled times in the real estate industry. Big changes are in the works and more are sure to follow, especially with respect to the financing end of transactions. I intend to focus on financing issues such as short sales, foreclosures, and new regs of interest to real estate and mortgage licensees, etc., so please don't hesitate to suggest topics!
